Community Guidelines

This community space is an open and honest place of discussion, learning and support - led by our community members.

We wanted to share three short behaviours to help keep things ticking over smoothly.

1. Courage: Keep the story moving

Help us make this a great place for conversations by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small.

The topics discussed here matter to us, and we hope they matter to you too.

One way to improve the discussion is by discovering ones that are already happening. Please spend some time browsing the topics to see where you can join in.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for – start your own topic and get the conversation moving, don’t be shy!

2. Compassion: Be agreeable, even when you disagree

We’re human and trying new things, so we will make mistakes. You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But, remember that constructive criticism should be applied to ideas, not people.

We’re sharing our life’s work, and other people are sharing theirs. Please be kind.

3. Creativity: Great ideas come from many different voices

The conversations we have here set the tone for everyone. Help us influence the future of this community by adding your voice to the discussion. We’re ready to listen.

Discourse provides tools that enable the community to collectively identify the best contributions: favourites, bookmarks, likes, flags, replies, edits, and so forth. Use these tools to improve your own experience, and everyone else’s, too.
